Focus-ish

Focus-ish is a six-week therapy group for adults with ADHD who want practical tools, real support, and a way of working that doesn’t require perfection

  • This group is for adults who:

    • Have ADHD (diagnosed or strongly suspected)

    • Struggle with focus, follow-through, motivation, or overwhelm

    • Feel frustrated by systems that “should work” but don’t stick

    • Carry shame or self-criticism around productivity or consistency

    • Want support and practical tools without pressure to be perfect

    • Are tired of trying to “fix” themselves and want approaches that actually fit their brain

This group is especially helpful for adults who:

    • Feel smart and capable but inconsistent

    • Have tried planners, apps, or hacks that worked briefly (or not at all)

    • Want structure and understanding, not judgment

    • Better understand how their ADHD brain works (and why willpower isn’t the issue)

    • Learn ADHD-friendly strategies for:

      • Focus

      • Motivation

      • Task initiation

      • Follow-through

    • Reduce shame and self-blame around productivity struggles

    • Practice realistic, flexible approaches instead of “all-or-nothing” systems

    • Build confidence by learning what works for them

    • Feel less alone through shared experience and group support

The goal is not to “fix” ADHD.

The goal is to work with it—more kindly, more effectively, and with less pressure.

Work, Identity, and Exhaustion

For people who feel drained, stuck, or disconnected at work and want space to understand why

  • This group is for adults who:

    • Feel emotionally drained, numb, or disconnected at work

    • Are functioning “fine” on the outside but feel empty, stuck, or disengaged internally

    • Question their motivation, purpose, or identity in relation to their job

    • Feel burned out but aren’t sure whether the answer is rest, change, or something deeper

    • Feel trapped by golden handcuffs, responsibility, or expectations

    • Are not in immediate crisis, but know something isn’t working anymore

  • ·      Better understand the emotional roots of burnout, numbness, and disengagement

    ·      Reconnect with values, needs, and internal signals that may have gone quiet

    ·      Develop language for what participants are experiencing

    ·      Practice setting emotional and psychological boundaries around work

    ·      Feel less alone in the experience

    ·      Leave with improved clarity about what needs attention, care, or change

Note: The goal is not to answer questions like “Should I quit my job?”, but rather to develop awareness that will help to determine next steps.
